How to Play Animal Town
Hatch adorable animals, care for your pets, explore colorful places, play learning games, earn coins, and decorate your own Animal Town worlds.
Getting Started
Hatch Your First Animal
When you begin, open an egg to meet your first pet. Every egg can hatch different animals, and some animals are much rarer than others.
Choose Your Active Pet
Open the Animal Collection and choose any animal you have discovered. Your active pet travels with you around Animal Town.
Take Care of Your Pet
Watch your pet’s hunger, thirst, energy, cleanliness, health, and fun meters. Use the activities in each area to keep your pet happy.
Explore and Play
Visit different areas, play minigames, complete learning activities, earn coins, hatch more animals, and decorate your worlds.
Hatching Animals
Open the Egg Shop to see the available eggs. Each egg has its own group of possible animals and its own cost.
Different Eggs
Starter, Farm, Forest, Ocean, Safari, Winter, Celebration, Magic, Discovery, and Mystery Eggs can contain different animals.
Random Hatching
You do not choose which animal is inside. The surprise is part of the fun.
Special Animals
Some eggs can hatch magical, seasonal, elemental, and other special animals.
Already Own It?
If you hatch an animal that is already in your collection, you receive coins instead of storing another copy.
Animal Rarities
Caring for Your Pet
Your pet has several needs. When a meter gets low, choose an activity that helps fill it again.
Hunger
Feed your pet and watch the food bowl appear.
Thirst
Give your pet water when the thirst meter gets low.
Cleanliness
Give your pet a bath or use the brush to help keep it clean.
Fun
Play with toys, visit the park, swim at the beach, or play a game.
Health
Visit the veterinarian for a temperature check, medicine, and care.
Petting
Click your pet to give it attention. Hearts appear when your pet is happy.

Feed, water, brush, bathe, and spend time with your pet.

Visit shops, hatch eggs, buy decorations, and find activities.

Play ball, play fetch, and open the games section.

Practice reading, math, spelling, and other learning activities.

Check your pet’s temperature and help your pet stay healthy.
Beach
Go swimming and search for hidden treasure.
Magic Meadow
Search the magical world for hidden treasures, stars, crystals, and rewards.

Games help you earn coins while practicing different skills.
Fetch Frenzy
Click the moving ball before time runs out. More catches mean more coins.
Pet Match
Match pairs of animals. Each cleared board gets larger until you reach the biggest board.
Pizza Shop
Read each customer’s order. Add sauce, cheese, and other ingredients in the correct order, then bake and serve the pizza.
Treasure Dig
Search for hidden treasure and earn coins when you find it.
Math Meadow
Practice math at Easy, Medium, or Challenge level. Questions include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, place value, area, perimeter, decimals, percentages, and more.
Spelling Garden
Use clues and sound to choose the correctly spelled word. Pick Easy, Medium, or Challenge.
Animal Explorer
Learn to recognize pets, farm animals, ocean animals, safari animals, magical animals, and seasonal animals.
Magic Treasure Hunt
Search different hiding places in Magic Meadow. Find as many treasures as possible before you run out of searches.
Your Animal Collection
Open the Collection to see every animal that can be discovered.
Discovered Animals
Animals you own appear in full color and can be chosen as your active pet.
Undiscovered Animals
Animals you have not hatched yet stay hidden until you discover them.
Search & Filter
Use the collection tools to search by animal name, rarity, or whether the animal has been collected.
Duplicate Animal Rewards
You never need to keep extra copies of the same animal. When an egg hatches an animal you already own, the duplicate automatically becomes coins.

Decorating Your Worlds
Animal Town lets you personalize the places you visit.
Visit the Decoration Shop
Spend coins to buy flowers, trees, seasonal decorations, furniture, and other cute items.
Choose Decorate
Open Decorate mode while visiting the world you want to change.
Place Your Decoration
Select something you own and click an open place in the scene to put it there.
Change It Later
While decorating, click a placed decoration to return it to your inventory and move it somewhere else.
Earning Coins & Stars
Play Minigames
Most games reward coins based on how well you play.
Care for Pets
Many pet-care activities give small coin and experience rewards.
Daily Gift
Check Animal Town each day for a daily reward.
Duplicate Hatches
Already-owned animals automatically turn into coin rewards.
Saving Your Game
Animal Town automatically saves progress in your browser. Your animals, coins, stars, decorations, pet progress, and other game information are stored automatically.
