Looking for a fun way to practice vocabulary, spelling, reading, and problem-solving skills? Word Wheel Challenge is a colorful new word puzzle game from Miniature Masterminds that turns learning into a fast-paced game-show-style adventure.
Players spin the Lucky Spin Wheel, reveal letters, collect stars, and try to solve each mystery puzzle before their opponents. The game is designed for independent play, family game time, homeschool activities, classroom review, and quick educational brain breaks.
Spin, Reveal, and Solve
Each round begins with a hidden word or phrase. Players take turns spinning the wheel to discover how many stars they can earn or which special surprise they will uncover.
After spinning, choose a consonant and see whether it appears in the puzzle. Correct letters reveal more of the answer while adding stars to your round total.
Need another clue? Players can spend stars to Unlock a Vowel.
Think you already know the answer? Choose I Know It! and try to solve the entire puzzle.
When someone solves the puzzle correctly, the completed answer stays on the screen for several seconds so everyone has time to see it before the next round begins.
Play Alone or With Friends
Word Wheel Challenge supports 1–3 human players.
A child can play in Solo Practice mode, compete against family or friends, or allow friendly computer characters to fill the empty player spots.
Meet the computer challengers:
🦉 Professor Owl is a thoughtful puzzle solver who occasionally receives a helpful Clue Peek.
🐼 Penny Panda is a steady player who sometimes benefits from a Vowel Saver.
🐻 Benny Bear loves taking chances and may occasionally receive a Star Boost.
The computer players are designed to make mistakes and do not automatically solve puzzles as soon as a few letters appear.
Three Difficulty Levels
Choose the level that best matches your players:
Easy is great for younger children and beginning readers.
Medium adds slightly more challenging words and phrases.
Challenge is designed for older students, adults, and experienced puzzle solvers.
This makes Word Wheel Challenge easy to use with siblings of different ages or as part of a homeschool program.
More Than 1,900 Puzzles
The game includes a large collection of puzzles across 25 different categories, including:
Animals, Food & Drinks, School, Nature, Places, People & Jobs, Science, Space, Geography, History, Books & Stories, Holidays, Sports, Music, Bible, Math Vocabulary, Language Arts, and more.
Players can select a favorite category or choose All Categories for a surprise mixture.
Lucky Spin Wheel Surprises
The wheel includes regular star values along with special spaces that can completely change a turn.
Players might land on 2× Stars, 3× Stars, Star Boost, Vowel Pass, Extra Spin, Surprise Box, Treasure Chest, Reveal Letter, Lucky Letter, Turn Pass, or Star Reset.
You never know what the next spin will bring.
The Star Finale
The player with the strongest performance gets a chance to take on the Star Finale.
The letters A, E, R, and S are revealed automatically. The finalist then chooses five additional letters, with no more than two vowels.
Three optional Clue Sparks can provide extra help, but the player only has 30 seconds to solve the final puzzle.
