THE NINE MATH GAMES

  1. SNOWY COUNTING

Count the winter objects displayed on the screen and choose the correct number.

Skills: Counting, number recognition, and one-to-one correspondence.

  1. COZY TEN-FRAMES

Fill the ten-frame boxes with snowflakes to represent the requested number.

Skills: Number sense, counting, and understanding groups of ten.

  1. WINTER GRAPHING

Count different winter objects and build a picture graph to show how many of each appear.

Skills: Sorting, counting, graphing, and interpreting information.

  1. MORE OR LESS?

Compare two groups of winter objects and determine which group has more, fewer, or the same amount.

Skills: Quantity comparison and early mathematical reasoning.

  1. SNOWY PATTERNS

Look carefully at the repeating sequence of winter pictures and choose the object that comes next.

Skills: Pattern recognition, sequencing, and logical thinking.

  1. NUMBER TRAIL

Follow the snowy number trail and identify the missing number.

Skills: Number order, counting forward, and recognizing number sequences.

  1. SNOWBALL ADDITION ADVENTURE

Help the snowman combine snowballs from two baskets. Count the total and select the correct answer.

Skills: Beginning addition, combining groups, and addition within 20.

  1. PENGUIN’S SNOWY SLIDE

Watch the penguins slide away from the snowy hill. Count those remaining to solve subtraction problems.

Skills: Beginning subtraction, taking away, and subtraction within 20.

  1. WINTER SHAPE WORKSHOP

Explore three shape activities: match shapes to their outlines, sort shapes into groups, and build a snowman using geometric pieces.

Skills: Shape identification, sorting, size comparison, and spatial reasoning.

DIFFICULTY SETTINGS

Easy: Introduces basic math skills using smaller numbers and simpler challenges.

Standard: Provides kindergarten-level practice with increasing variety.

Challenge: Introduces larger numbers, additional shapes, and more advanced activities.

Choose the difficulty that best matches the child’s learning level.

TIPS FOR PARENTS AND TEACHERS

Encourage children to count objects aloud, explain how they found an answer, and use the interactive pieces to solve problems visually.

Allow children to repeat their favorite games to strengthen confidence and understanding.

For younger learners, begin with counting, ten-frames, comparing quantities, and shape matching before introducing addition and subtraction.

The activities can be used as short daily math lessons, classroom learning stations, independent practice, or supplemental homeschool activities.

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

Winter Math Wonderland combines playful activities with important foundational math concepts. Children can practice at their own pace while developing problem-solving skills, number confidence, and a positive attitude toward learning.

Bundle up, explore the snowy world, and discover how much fun math can be!
