Fruit Basket Drop is a browser-based puzzle game that combines falling-block gameplay with fruit-matching challenges. Players arrange different groups of falling fruit, create matches, and collect the fruits needed to complete each level.
The game features 60 levels across three environments, with new fruits, obstacles, and tools introduced as players progress.
How to Play
Players move and rotate falling fruit pieces to create horizontal or vertical matches of four or more identical fruits.
Each level has a collection goal. Fruits with green backgrounds indicate which types need to be collected. Once all required fruits have been cleared, the level is complete.
Falling pieces come in several arrangements, including single fruits, pairs, three-fruit groups, squares, L-shapes, T-shapes, and other four-fruit combinations. These different formations make positioning and planning important throughout the game.
60 Levels Across Three Worlds
Fruit Basket Drop is divided into three worlds, each with its own illustrated background and set of challenges.
Sunny Orchard – Levels 1–20
The first world introduces the basic matching mechanics, different fruit combinations, and increasingly varied falling pieces. Players begin with simpler puzzles before moving on to more challenging layouts.
Harvest Farm – Levels 21–40
The second world features a countryside farm with a red barn, windmill, and fruit trees. These levels introduce additional obstacles, including wooden crates, locked spaces, and frozen fruit.
Enchanted Harvest Festival – Levels 41–60
The final world takes place in an orchard at sunset, with lanterns and festival decorations. These levels combine more advanced obstacles, additional fruit varieties, and more complicated collection objectives.
19 Fruit Varieties
The game includes apples, bananas, oranges, grapes, strawberries, pears, watermelon, pineapple, cherries, peaches, kiwi, lemons, blueberries, mangoes, dragon fruit, limes, coconuts, raspberries, and pomegranates.
Different fruits become available throughout the 60 levels. Each stage uses a selection of fruit varieties to keep the puzzles manageable while gradually increasing the difficulty.
Obstacles and Special Challenges
Higher levels introduce mechanics that affect how fruit can be collected.
- Wooden crates block spaces and can be removed by making nearby matches.
- Dew-covered and frozen fruit require additional matches before they can be cleared.
- Sticky honey holds affected fruit in place until the coating is removed.
- Locked baskets create obstacles that players must work around or unlock.
- Wind effects influence the movement of falling pieces on certain levels.
As players progress, these mechanics begin appearing together, requiring more careful placement and planning.
Harvest Tools
Several tools are available to help with difficult levels.
The Fruit Mallet removes obstacles, while the Watering Can clears special coatings from fruit. The Bonus Basket helps collect required fruit, and the Rainbow Harvest Helper changes a falling fruit group to improve matching opportunities.
A Basket Rescue feature is also available when players go several moves without collecting a required fruit.
Game Modes and Progress
Fruit Basket Drop includes Classic, Challenge, and Endless modes.
Classic Mode focuses on completing the 60 levels in order. Challenge Mode introduces limits on the number of fruit groups players can use, while Endless Mode allows players to continue matching fruit across successive rounds.
Players can earn star ratings for completed levels, track their scores, and save their progress in the browser.
