Plan Out and Create an Invention Printable STEM Work-page

Let your kids use thier engineering and critical thinking skills to plan out a new invention with this planning page!

Questions to ask:

“If you could create a new invention to solve a problem what would you create?”

“Would you create a great big machine to do a job or something smaller that makes things more convenient in everyday life?”

Use the work page below for the kids to brainstorm ideas and plan out their creative inventions.

After they plan out and draw their new invention they could build a prototype with play dough, building blocks, or LEGO bricks.

The purpose of this activity is to get them using their critical thinking skills and imagination to create a machine that can solve a problem. How can their machine benefit society?
