What you need:
Thin Cardboard (optional it make them more sturdy)
Activity 1 – Number boards
Laminate and cut out the numbers placing a velcro dot on the back of each and a corresponding dot on the mat. The mat can be used with each collection of numbers.
There is a set for addition, multiplication, division with fractions, division with decimals, and subtraction.
You can also use the color blocks for both counting and pattern practice.
Activity 2 – Fraction Circles
Cut out the circles and separate them. You can add velcro dots or just place them on the fraction mat. It would be a little harder to line them up so probably would be easier to just place them in the circle.
They can build wholes and learn about like fractions.
Activity 3 – Fraction Blocks
Cut out the boxes. Place velcro dots on the back of the blocks and on the rainbow mat. They will learn to build wholes by putting the puzzle back together.
Activity 4 – Ten Frames Number Sense
Cut around the blank ten frame keeping it intact. Cut out the other ten frames and separate the blocks. Add velcro dots to the backs of the colorful blocks and the top of the blank ten frame. They will learn to put numbers in order with six different number representations.
Activity 5 – The Clock
Cut out the numbers and add velcro dots to the back of the numbers and the circles around the clock. Cut out the arrows and use a split pin to attach to the middle of the clock. The kids will put the numbers around the clock and learn about time.
