Play Smart 1 2 3 Picture Puzzlers From Gakken Workbooks Review
If you are looking for a hands on work book with fine motor activities, writing practice, and tons of educational benefits that is both age appropriate for toddlers and preschoolers and ADORABLE…. Check out the Gakken Workbooks!
I have actually reviewed a different set of Gakken Workbooks before and l was really excited to check out this new line called Picture Puzzlers. It’s the perfect Summer companion to keep their brains fresh and get them prepared for a new school year.
I had a hard time getting Loulou to really work in a work book when she was younger. She wasn’t the sitting still type of child and wouldn’t have anything to do with them. I got the Gakken Workbooks Play Smart set in and she actually finished all of them. There is just something about the bright colors and cute pictures that just draw you in and keep those little minds mesmerized. I was so excited to share these Picture Puzzlers with Little Man because I knew he would feel the same way.
The Play Smart collection of workbooks is growing and a great place to start for fine motor skill builders as well as basic learning concepts!
They also have a collection of free printable sample pages!
Each book has a dry erase page at the end of them. These books had places to practice writing numbers which Loulou still needs practice doing. We are having a small issue of writing some numbers backwards or upside down still. The dry erase traceable pages are a great way for her to practice and practice. Each book has a different page in the back.
The inside pages are full of different activities. A WIDE range of different activities. They come with stickers to use to finish workpages as well as pages to work on number recognition and scissors skill practice. Our favorites are the cutting pages. I love that they make sure the backside matches so when you cut the activity out you aren’t hurting another activity.
Each page has simple to follow instructions and images to show what is needed to complete each activity. They make it easy for the parents as well as the kids.
One of the cutting activities was this adorable elephant slide. She was able to cut and build it with a little help. It came with three characters to cut and fold. They slide down the slide. I think we could have sit and played with this slide all day.
Each book is just filled with so much fun! I can’t help it, I just LOVE the art. I strive to make my art as cute as this but I could never achieve this level of cuteness. I think it’s the simplicity that makes it so cute along with the perfect color scheme. It’s just genius in my opinion.
