Sight Word Practice For Kindergarten and First Grade Mini Books Set #1
Sight Word Practice For Kindergarten and First Grade Mini Books
69 Different Sight Word Mini Books
Sight words… I’m not sure what to say about them other than I think they were devised by some secret think tank to drive me personally crazy. Their plan is working because I see these words in my sleep. Loulou isn’t crazy about them but we are getting better with some practice. I wanted to make something for her to use to practice and would be repetitive enough to ingrain these simple words into her very psyche. I know there are tons of great sight word resources out there. I have used several we have liked and her online teacher sent us a few more ideas to try as well but I wanted to make something for her as well.
These mini books are what I came up with. Each word has it’s own mini activity book. Each book is only one page of paper folded to create the book.Cut out the box around the whole book. Fold in the middle and then fold in the middle again to form the book.
About what is in the book:
The title page is there to showcase the word and for them to write their name.
Page two is “I can read” and “I can find” (where they find the word in a chart of other sight words).
Page three is “I can write” and “I can color”.
The back of the book is for building the word using letter tiles or the provided letter squares.
A few of the fonts are from Kimberly Geswein Fonts
