Deck the Home’s A Christmas Story Themed Laser Light Decoration Review

Deck the Home creates all in one outdoor decoration systems that are the envy of the neighborhood. All in one little black box and controlled by a remote control. No ladders, no nails, no fuss just beautiful lights all over the house!

I have seen these a few times this year and I really wanted to try one out in person. They truly are as fun as they look!

You can use these inside or outside for different effects. Inside they light up the whole room from floor to ceiling. They are great for a fun dance party! While outside this little machine can light up to 5000 sq foot of house! It’s a laser light show right on the front of the house and can last up to 8,000 hours. There are a few different settings which you can change with the touch of a button on the remote. You can turn off the green lights and only have the red ones or turn off the red and only have green. You can set the time for it to cut itself off in different increments.

We were able to test out Deck The Home’s first licensed set, The Christmas Story. With 7 recognizable scenes from the movie as well as a dazzling effect show, my kids were pretty impressed. I set it up as soon as it arrived in the living room. The first thing they wanted to do was turn on some Christmas music. I was thinking lights, music…HOT CHOCOLATE. They were thinking lights, music, dancing crazy, and then some hot chocolate with marshmallows and sprinkles. I was such a fun impromptu family dance party. They were actually pretty sad when I decided it was time to move it outside so the neighborhood could enjoy it for a night (it is a little too early for full on decoration every night but one night was ok). Also I wanted to see how it was going to look, I couldn’t wait till next week. I had a little issue getting the power ran but that is because I have no outside plugs which I didn’t realize until a couple of days ago. Once we got it going it made my house look great. I love that it can be going crazy outside on the house but inside we couldn’t even tell. No odd blinking lights seeping in through the cracks in the curtains light last years large outside lights. The kids than realized that they could just move their dance party outside till it got too cold and they were forced inside but a mother who was ready for some coffee and a fuzzy blanket.

This post would not be complete without showcasing the leg lamp. 🙂 We actually had one of these lamps a long time ago. Ours went the same way as the one in the movie but for a while it was displayed at Christmas time along with the 24 hour marathon that always comes on each year.

From one The Christmas Story fan to another, this is the funnest Christmas decor has ever been. Christmas music, light show, and a dance party anyone?
