The Irish Fairy Door Company Holiday Gift Guide Review
What could be better than a magical door that leads to fairy land and their own magical fairy to love?!?! The Irish Fairy Door Company bring just that to the Holidays this year with this adorable fairy door set. My little fairy enthusiast couldn’t take her eyes off it. It was hard to get her to hold off opening it long enough to get a few photos and set up for the video. She was trying to rip the paper off to save her fairy.
You can watch the video of them opening up the set and see all the different accessories as well as their excitement. Inside the box there is the wooden fairy door, a key in a bottle, a letter pad for notes to their fairy, stepping stones, a fairy ownership pledge, and the Fairy Welcome Guide. Everything they will need for the fairy who will come and live on the other side of the door. The book teaches them how to care for their fairy while the pledge scroll tells them all about their responsibilities…and owning a fairy is a big responsibility.
In order to get their fairy, the door must be placed in a fairy safe place. We placed ours on the fireplace mantle. I think that a fairy would be quite happy on top of there and she (or he) will have access to all the seasonal decor as nice front porch. I’m hoping they will like the scenery…plus they won’t have to worry about being stepped on. We set the door up while discussing all the rules of fairy ownership. The girls were already planning their fairy’s arrival and thinking about what they would name them. We set the magic key out for the fairy to use when they did arrive and than we began to wait. Three days went by with no signs our fairy had arrived. Each morning all three children would run to see if there was any change. Than on the fourth morning, magic happened. The key was gone. Little footprints were all over the top of the fireplace and all of our seasonal decor had been moved or turned over. Apparently our fairy had arrived and they felt a little mischievous. Than again, maybe they just wanted to make the place their own.
With our fairy’s arrival has come correspondence with them. We have learned that our fairy is a girl and her name is Bell but she wanted to make it clear there was no relation to the famous fairy who shares the same last name. She is a mess maker but promises to keep her house clean if they can keep their rooms clean. She also like to color and will leave them little pictures she has colored for them. They have grown attached to Bell and she plans on living in her magical pink door for a long time.
