This Week’s Book Reviews:
Sharing Some Amazing New Parragon Books!
This week we have been enjoying a great selection of books from Parragon Books. They have so many great activity, reading, and puzzle books that I often have a hard time picking a favorite. I have a couple of ideas I am going to use these books for this month in future themes and yes, I do realize I’m still late on last month’s jungle animals post I promised but I’ve been working on getting the school routine in place and the kids have been rebelling at the idea of… well, school in general. 🙂 Although if you follow us on Instagram you will see we have finally figured it out for the most part and settling into this new school year. 🙂
One of the things that has really helped us get motivated is adding more fun activities to do while in the school room such as this Dinosaur Stencil Activity book from Craft Factory. My son has always been a HUGE dino fan. Those and sharks are his favorite subjects. This book was so much fun for him. The pages are different stencil shapes and it also includes different facts and questions on them!
Little Lou has been ungraded to the big school table this year and with that promotion comes a renewed eagerness to learn. Books like this Lots of Dots for Little Hands come in handy with her because she feels she is doing big kid school work while learning numbers, colors, letters, and shapes and also practicing prewriting skills. Best of all, it’s dry erase and can be used over and over again!
Dinos and sharks are not Bub’s only favorite subjects. He also loves space and anything that is space related. We are already huge fans of the factivity sets Parragon carries but this one was doubly awesome. Not only did it come with an informative fact filled activity book but it also includes a double sided poster, double sided floor puzzle, and double sided colored pencils… see what I mean by doubly 🙂 This box was full of tons of fun things for him to do!
The kids were so excited about their books they wanted to do their own video review of them. You can see all the great books we added to our classroom this week and learn more about them in their video. Also below the video is links to purchase any one of the books they talk about!
