Animal Cookie Free Printable Counting And Word Family Activity Pack
Clip Counting Cards, Word Family Practice, Counting Practice, and Number Mats
Looking for a fun activity to start off the preschool year? I made this animal cookie activity pack for my four year old to start her off with some basic concept math next week. I can’t believe my baby is starting school “officially”. We have been doing “homework” and playing school for awhile but not in a formal capacity. This year she will start school just like brother and sister, for short periods of time each day. I wanted her to have materials that would interest her and be fun for her to start out with.
There are several ways to use this printable pack. One of those ways is to use to to learn to recognize all the forms numbers come in. Word, number, and a countable dot representation. Place a number square in the square box and the child will locate all three number cookies and put on the cookie jar page.
I also included word family cookies for this activity to expand the cookie fun.
Number mats from 1 – 10 are also included. These can be used with dry erase or play dough.
Number counting cards are always a fun way to connect the number of objects with the number. You could use clothes pins, dot markers, or other ways of marking the correct numbers.
I also included a page of blank cookies for counting or you could use real animal cookies. Place a certain number of cookies in the cookie jar. The child will count them and write the number in the blank square. This is a great dry erase activity. We use these clear paper protectors for dry erase such as in this post. 🙂
