About the Father and Son Author Team from Mr. Skead:

  • Father-son writing team of the new American Revolutionary War Adventure series by Harper Collins: Patriots, Redcoats and Spies and its sequel, Submarines, Secrets and a Daring Rescue.
  •  We crafted the stories to inspire kids to do great things, nurture patriotism and edify the courage of American patriots and the leadership of General George Washington.
  • The stories are designed to teach little known facts about the American Revolution to children and adults. Book 1 involves the Culper Spy Ring. Book two, the American Turtle submarine.
  • 10% of our earnings from the sales of Submarines, Secrets and a Daring Rescue will be given to Team Never Quit, the foundation of former Navy SEAL and Lone Survivor Marcus Luttrell.
  • My father, a World War II vet, US Navy, is now a co-author at age 89. He turned 90 on January 26!
  • The book features our ancestor, Lamberton Clark, who fought in the Connecticut Militia and Continental Army. Lamberton is one of the main characters. Along with his two teenage sons (John and Ambrose), and General George Washington and Major Ben Tallmadge
  • Idea for story was birthed during a visit to a local historical home, the Van Allen home, in Oakland, NJ, where George Washington headquartered for two days in 1777.
  • My father and I are both members of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Rob
