Ice color Art

Yesterday I had an idea… I put water in the ice cube tray and a couple drops of food coloring. I then set it in the freezer. The idea was to have colorful ice for water.  Which we did. 
They looked so pretty in the bowl. They kinda looked like crystals or gems.
The kids got a kick out of the way they looked so we played with them instead of drinking them. We painted!
 And Painted some more. It made a watercolor type picture. They were like cold little cubes of watercolor paint. Great sensory activity as well as art.
 I just like how they looked in pictures. 🙂
